2012 is our tenth season as a CSA!
In 2011 we were proud to provide produce to over 100 families! This year we are growing by about 50%...
A CSA, (for Community Supported Agriculture) is a way for you to create a relationship with a farm and to receive a weekly share of produce. By making a financial commitment to a farm, people become "members" (or "shareholders," or "subscribers") of the CSA.

Sample Share Summer 2011
Our 2012 main season will run 20 weeks - starting in June.
So what will be in your share? This is a hard question to answer. In general your box will have 6-10 (or more) different varieties of vegetables weighing between 5 and 15 pounds (or more). We have a detailed planting plan and schedule but the weather often changes this. Our goal this year is to offer a leafy green (lettuce, spinach), a hearty green (kale, chard, beet greens), a root crop (turnips, beets, carrots, potatos), and an onion (scallions, spring onions, onions, leeks) each week. Outside of that “core” share we will add items based on the season starting with spring veggies (radishes, Chinese cabbages, broccoli, kohilrabi), moving into summer crops (tomatoes, peppers, summer squash, eggplant, green beans), and end with fall crops (winter squash, celery, garlic, cabbage, leeks). We have over 100 varieties planned this year so there should be lots of surprises for you!
The boxes we will be using this year are half bushel. Our goal is to keep them stuffed! Last year by mid July the boxes would not close and the shares averaged over 12 pounds. Every half (other week) shares will also be offered for members who need less food.
Additional fall shares are avilable (for an extra cost): The fall share will be significantly different focusing on mainly storage veggies (a variety of winter squash, potatoes, onions, carrots, and more!)
